Dear Mrs. Shirley & Pathways Academy!
I thought I’d drop a brief note to give you an update on T**. You were her favorite teacher and she still talks of you often. T** has had quite the road in education. You may remember she had repeated first grade and then repeated third grade upon coming to Pathways. Our girl actually graduates this year and has not done too bad – A’s & B’s. We know, without a doubt, that if you and Mrs. Vines had not got her back on track, we probably would not have made it – especially in public schools. What amazes us most, she loves the library! To see this girl that could barely read 1st grade upon coming to Pathways, seeing her sit with a book and actually reading still blows us away. She will always need assistance in education, but she has come along leaps and bounds from where we started!
T** will be crossing the stage graduating in the May ceremony for Salado High School. As she passes, we just wanted you to know that you will be foremost on our minds. If you ever wonder, along with the other Pathway teachers, if you really make a difference – this family can most certainly say “YES”!!!!
